We celebrate the harvest season with a Slavic Core Order rite honoring Mother Earth, Father Sky, and Uncle Underworld along with the Land Spirits. We will give them thanks for the abundance and food we have been gifted this year. Please join us for our ritual and harvest feast!

Harvest time is the period when our ancestors would bring in the food they grew for the year. This was celebrated all over the world, and across Europe, the traditions are all very similar. Thanksgiving, merriment, and honoring the spirits often featured in these traditions. This year we are taking our inspiration from the Slavic Hearth Culture.

We will be honoring the Earth Mother Mokosh, Sky Father Perun, and Underworld Uncle Weles as well as the Spirits of the Land. Mokosh is the goddess of earth and the subterranean waters. She brings forth fertility and is patroness of women, and women's work. Perun is the king of the sky world and lord of storms. he strikes down evil with lightining and is a god of war traditionally. Weles is god of the Underworld, wealth, magic, and music. He brings forth wisdom and abundance from the realm of the dead to the living. The Land Spirits are the beings that live in nature all around us. They let things grow and thrive in the land. We owe them all our thanks for the prosperity we get to enjoy!
