What is Paganism and Druidry?

ADF Druidry

ADF Druidry is a branch of Neo-Paganism with a distinct history and set of traditions. We are a polytheistic, scholarly, and liturgy focused community that seeks to honor the ancestors, land spirits, and Godden. To learn more about ADF Druidry, please check out our Mother organization or join us at any of our events or meetings. We seek to promote understanding of Our Own Druidry!

Paganism

Paganism, or Neo-Paganism, is a modern religious movement that encompasses a wide variety of practices and beliefs. Broadly, Neo-Pagans tend to honor nature, honor the pre-Christian beliefs of Europe, West Asia, and North Africa, and reject Abrahamic religious hegemony. There is a huge number of traditions and ways people practice Neo-Paganism. Wicca, Druidry, Heathenry, Witchcraft, Rodonovery, Hellenismos, and many more make up the colorful Neo-Pagan tapestry. Neo-Paganism tends to be focused on European and Mediterranean traditions, not to exclude Afro-Caribbean and Indigenous beliefs, but to respect those traditions and peoples by recognizing their distinctness and identities. There is no one way to be a Pagan. To learn more about Paganism, come join us or check out our local partner Happy Valley Golden Wheel, the local Neo-Pagan community.
